Refund Policy

Last updated 16 October 2026
Short version: if you have not used the paid features, ask for a refund within 14 days and you get your money back, no questions. If you have used them, ask anyway and we will look at it fairly. No automatic renewal means there is nothing to cancel.

1. What you are buying

The Job Search Pass is a one-time payment in Canadian dollars (currently $19 CAD) that unlocks higher usage of Aptly's premium features for 90 days. It does not renew automatically and we do not store your card details.

2. The 14-day guarantee

If you buy a Pass and decide within 14 days that it is not for you, contact us and we will refund the full amount. This applies whether or not you have used the extra usage in that time, as long as you have not used it excessively. We would rather refund you than have you hold a Pass you regret.

3. If you have used the paid features

The premium features cost us money every time they run, through AI providers. If you have already used a significant part of the Pass, a full refund stops being fair to us — so at that point we look at what has been used:

In every case we will tell you what we are doing and why before we do it.

4. How to ask

Email [email protected] from any address, with your receipt or order reference, and say what you would like. We reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

5. If something is broken

If Aptly does not work as described, tell us first. We will fix it if we can, and if we cannot we will refund you. Please contact us before opening a chargeback: it is slower for you, and it costs us fees that we would rather spend on the product.

6. Duplicate charges

If you were charged twice, contact us and we will refund the duplicate in full, immediately.

7. Before the Pass is available

During the current open beta, Aptly is free and no payment is taken. This policy applies when the Pass becomes available for purchase. If you spot a purchase option during the beta that takes your money, please tell us — that would be a bug, not a product.

8. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under consumer protection law in your jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a place that gives you stronger rights than this policy, those rights apply.
